Trip to the UK

April 28, 2010 1 comment

Here a few from the past few days. I have been very bad at keeping this 365 going. I’ve found it very hard to take a image every day, possibly because I’m really only interested in landscapes. I should have gone for a project52, one for each weekend.

I’m not sure if I’m improving but think my keeper hit rate is getting a bit better.

Roches Point Sunset

I am finally going to a David Noton Workshop this weekend but I need to bring a few printed images that I am happy with.  Hopefully it will help me to step up the quality of the images I am producing.

Here are two from this weekend. I don’t think I’ll bring either of these.

Day 117 – White Bay

I took a trip to White Bay for sunset. Left it a bit too late and felt like I was rushing all the image I took.

Day 116 – Trying to improve on Fota Castle

I took another trip to try and improve on my recent Fota Castle images.

I timed it a bit wrong this evening but I am happy enough with this one.

Day 115 – Youghal Beach

A few minutes after taking this shot I locked my keys in the car. At least I had my camera to keep me busy while I waited to be rescued.

Day 114 – Dawn Raid

April 10, 2010 1 comment

Took a trip back to Fota Castle for a dawn shoot.

Behind the castle is Fota Wildlife Park …..it was very strange hearing exotic animals calling out first thing in the morning in Ireland.

The next two images were taken about twenty five minutes before the one above. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should have done here? It was just slightly misty and I had an 0.6 Hard ND Grad on with the grad placed on the waterline. I really liked how the sky looked in that direction but feel I failed to show to scene as I saw it.. What should I have done?

Day 113 – Rocky Bay at Dusk

Took a trip to Rocky Bay yesterday evening with this picture in mind. I’m not too familiar with the beach and had hoped that the low tide would allow me to get out a bit further. I got my feet wet trying to get this one.
